My journey into real estate began when I bumped into a dear friend, who suggested I would be perfect in the industry. In my younger years, I had a passion for people and utilized these skills as a very successful and award-winning aesthetician for over 15 years.

I loved the industry because of the people and the relationships that I had built, but something always felt like it was missing. After following the advice of my dear friend, I started working in real estate as an administrative assistant and quickly came to realize that my passion was helping people with all their real estate needs and goals.

I’ve come to realize over the years that real estate is not just about the transaction. It’s about the relationship and you must know, like and trust that person. I strive to get to know each of my clients individually, to really get to understand what their needs and wants are. There have been many times through the process of buying or selling where my clients thought they understood their needs and wants, but as we got to know one another and peel back the layers, we were able to really dig deep and discover what their actual needs and wants truly were.

I pride myself on building life-long relationships with my clients. If I am taking time away from my family, as they are theirs, I want my clients to be treated as exactly that. We spend a lot of personal time trying to find the right space to call home, it’s impossible not to get to know each other and have a few laughs along the way… I may crack the odd joke or two! In all seriousness, I am never afraid to share my honest opinion if I do not feel that any space is not the right space. At the end of the day, I want my clients to feel confident in their purchase or sale.

In my personal life, you can find me enjoying a local patio with friends or a dinner out downtown Guelph with my husband. Often, I bump into clients on the trails with my daughter and pup. Guelph is a city that I truly love, I try to shop local anywhere I can. Although I wasn’t born and raised, I have truly embraced Guelph as my home since 2007, I cannot see myself anywhere else.

I met Allison at an open house 3 years before hiring her to sell our home and help buy our next home in Summer of 2021. She patiently nurtured the relationship until the timing was right. Prior to working with Allison I was skeptical of the value agents provide in a hot sellers market. As far as real estate agents go, Allison is cut from a different cloth. She made the process of selling turn key with the process she and her team have developed. The commission I paid included: (a) deep clean of my house … and I mean deep clean that included areas that were likely cleaned for the first time since the house was built. (b) complete staging of the entire house with their furniture and decor and movers to move my furniture out to the garage and back when we de-staged. (c) Allison figured out a last minute install of 3 smoke alarms the day before the house went on the market. (d) her personal involvement for months before and during the process – heck she even helped my wife pull weeds.

Allison and her team have made a turnkey process that I never experienced from any past agents. I feel like I got a bargain and I have never said that before about any of the other 6 real estate transactions I have done. On the buy side she was very knowledgeable about the city we moved too. But what made her invaluable as our agent was the fact that the agent and people from whom I bought our new house from were challenging in many ways. Without her help to navigate, negotiate, tenaciously following up, etc. it would much more stressful. If you are trying to decide on which agent you should use … use Allison!
