Movies These Guelph Realtors Love
Movies are magical... They bring us together in so many ways. They make us laugh, cry, be scared, be hopeful. There are those we relate to and those that we are amazed by. The common factor is that everyone loves a movie. I decided to write this blog because I was remembering some of the movies that I've loved over the years. The ones that are regarded as blockbusters. John Hughes is someone that if you grew up in the 80s, you would equate to 80's teenage drama. Five of his movies made our team's list! Movies like The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Uncle Buck, Ferris Bueller, and Some Kind of Wonderful (I kind of wish Wonder Woman could have produced this many stories, but there you go). There are the likes of Steven Spielberg and the stories of Stephen King and countless other amazing contributors. From the authors of books to those who knew they would make an unbelievable screenplay, and for the directors and producers, and just the thousands of people it takes to produce some of our most amazing movies. People's imagination and visions are truly remarkable, and the fact that they can bring them to the working screen, and how luckily the little screen we carry everywhere we go.
It's fascinating to see the influence on our culture, our fashion, and even sometimes our mannerisms when people find themselves so compelled and drawn to a movie. This year, Barbie the movie not only had a direct impact on educating the masses on Women's Rights, Patriarchal Systems, boxes, and inequality, but it also had a direct impact on the actual economy.
I can write you lists of movies forever. The team has decided to just share a few of our favorites. I thought I'd give you our Top Movies list, so maybe you'll like to watch them and let us know what you think. Make it a date night and go out and visit our top 10 things for restaurants in Guelph, get some takeout, or even have a beer after, and let us know what you think. Maybe you already love these movies, and that's the connection I believe. What other movies do you think we'll like or that anyone reading this might like to watch?
