Many real estate sales representatives are not themselves rural property owners, and thus, they may be both unfamiliar and inexperienced with the special needs and concerns of country property buyers and sellers.

I am a retired equine veterinarian, a long-time farm owner in Guelph/Eramosa Township near Guelph, and a licensed real estate broker with Royal LePage Royal City Realty. My unique background and education have allowed me to focus on equestrian, farm, and country property sales surrounding the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). 

I offer my clients a thorough understanding of zoning bylaws, including permissible uses for properties, environmental issues, conservation authority restrictions and guidelines, as well as municipal and provincial land use planning for agriculture and rural residential zones. Additionally, I have expertise in specific rural property services like septic systems, wells, and water purification systems. My goal is to provide insight and an educated approach to help sellers achieve the maximum return on their property investment and assist buyers in determining the suitability of a particular property for their needs.

Beyond my real estate work, I've been active in the equestrian community as a breeder of Dutch Warmblood horses for the jumper market for the past 20 years. All of my home-bred show horses carried the HFO prefix to their names. Notably, HFO Corvette (Corland x Nimmerdor), which was purchased by Alejandro Karolyi (VEN) and Team Karolyi Show Jumping in 2017 and competed in FEI Grand Prix events. Additionally, HFO Cordyte (Corland x Nimmerdor) was shown by James Gillam of G&G Sporthorses Ltd. at the 1.35 – 1.40m level. In addition to my involvement in the equestrian world, I am also a breeder of Bouvier des Flandres and currently own two of these wonderful dogs.
